Gwyndelyn the Good Witch

It’s October and this month we’re talking MAGIC! Happy First Magical Monday of October! Since Halloween, or Samhain,  is on it’s way, we wanted to introduce you to one of the greatest advisors in the Kingdom. The keeper of the mystical traditions of our Kingdom.

princess jenGwyndelyn the Good Witch, lives in the Avalon Woods of Azuria’s Valley of the Moon. She is the Great Fairy Queen and commands all the fairies and witches in the land. As the keeper of the Good Witch Grimoire, Gwyndelyn holds the secrets of all the universe. She believes miracles are a part of daily life and that anyone can make magic in their lives, if they just believe.

Gwyndelyn, and the Witches of Azuria, study the stars for guidance and use simple garden herbs to make huge changes. She works with the Fairies to keep gardens of resources used for natural remedies. Azurians come to the Witches of the Avalon Woods for help, whether seeking peppermint to soothe a headache or lavender oil to cool anxiety.

Wondering what it means to be a Witch? Well, first you should understand that historically all Witches abide by: The Four Rules and The Witch’s Law:

Rule 1: Live each day as if it were your last.
Rule 2: Love yourself first and foremost. For when you truly love yourself, you are able to love others.
Rule 3: Learn your life’s lessons.
Rule 4: Enjoy life to the fullest. And share your joys with others.

And above all abide by The Witch’s Law is to Harm None.

The dark side of the story is that in The World, historically many Witches were killed by rulers who feared their natural abilities. Only a few of the great Witches and Healers, seeking to keep the great traditions and rituals alive, escaped and found refuge in Azuria. History and time have reduced the powers of the Witch and the Witch’s goodness has been near forgotten in your World.

Gwyndelyn and the Witches of Azuria, long to dis-spell the long standing hatred of the witch and hope one day The World will remember the Witch as it was, revered as a respected healer, and not the scary wart-nose image often portrayed today.

Look for more Witchy good fun coming each Whimsical Wednesday this October!
